As the application is a true web application, screens are accessed by simply typing in the pages address (URL) in the address bar in a web browser. Alternatively, pages can be opened from within other applications or documents via hyperlinks. Many Case Management Systems provide the ability to open web pages automatically from within case flow activities. Data is filtered by simply passing values such as Case ID's or Client and Matter Codes within the web pages address (URL).
Fields can also be restricted or added by passing an additional field list in the URL. Alternatively, XML documents can be utilised to customise views. All this provides developers with enough control to create a suite of powerful data entry screens tailored to cater for many different scenarios with almost no code required.
